How can we help?

  • Robust and impartial investigations into allegations of director or employee misconduct, including alleged breach of duty, sexual harassment, bullying, conflicts of interest, fraud, theft, discrimination and other unlawful or prohibited behaviours.

Accordia recognises that being involved in an investigation can cause some anxiety for participants, in particular because serious consequences can flow from the results of an investigation. We also understand the potential for scope creep to occur. For these reasons, Accordia focusses on delivering its findings in a timely and cost-effective way.

We specialise in investigations for private, public and tertiary education sectors.

  • Accordia uses its deep understanding of the University statutes, associated policies and research policies/codes to conduct investigations into allegations of student misconduct and/or research misconduct.

We have expertise in conducting investigations into alleged breaches of university student codes of conduct, and alleged breaches of the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research, 2018.

  • Investigations into allegations made under the whistleblower provisions in the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth), and disclosures made to a public body, or referred to the public body by IBAC, under the Public Interest Disclosures Act 2012 (Vic).

We have particular expertise in allegations of corrupt conduct, abuse of power and conflicts of interest.
